What the commission does not buy
A commission is paid on the signup, not on the verdict, so the incentive it creates is to send readers who stay — not readers who arrive. That distinction is the whole reason the payment model is compatible with an honest page: a reader who deposits on the strength of a claim that turns out to be false does not come back, and neither the operator nor this site gains anything from that visit.
Two things follow in practice.
